Absolutely clear is that ppf limit for 2 earning members is 150000 each . If spouse is not earning then ppf can be made only of the income from other sources (interest income ) is there . Earlier a child could open ppf within the parents limit that way when the child becomes 18 then he she can continue ppf with full income . That way lock in period becomes less . Now that’s not allowed

How can an NRI close PPF account opened prior to becoming NRI, there is no provision to close account online.

I think in case of Shri Radheshyam Mishra ji Agriculture income defined by Mukesh ji is not exempt from Income tax.

I have ppf accountsince2015and I was resident indian at that time. Now, I have become nri in 2024 . Please advise me whether I can continue my deposit until it's maturity ie upto 2030 Should I withdraw the accured amount, as per the recent rule Please clarify and advice

It was not public's fault that banks provided 7.1% int in minor's ppf acct also. While opening minors ppf, bank never informed that 7.1% will be provided on combined (parent + child) 1.5l only. Govt must allow to close and withdraw this amount then. Govt/bank will invest this amt and keep earning profits, but won't pass the profit to us. Very bad. Shameful

Post office insist that the NRiI whose account has matured in 2024 must present himself for taking the PPFmaturity . I have a NRO account in SBI with my father . I have sent the papers to my father authorize him and Post office is not prepared to send the RTGS to NRO account

Pl.refer to shri mukesh patel. Sbi hdfc bank deduct tds on acrual interest of fd in the year 2022-23. Now amount of acrual interest is paid in 2023-24 after one year of duration of fd as paid interest and again deduct tds. Meaning tds is deducted twice and same is reflected IN 26AS , AIS. THEREFORE I HAVE to pay itax as per respective slab and it is a big loss. This applicable all fd holders. Of entire country . Pl. Take appropriate action at your end and reply for my queries.

If miner 75 thousand father same amt invested in ppf then it will not effect. Secondly. Sr citizen clubbing take birth if invested in wife ac. But public are following same pratice. Ca not given proper reply. Golmol. Simply saying wife having pan card investing is seprate. But my answer as per video investigation. Invested in wife source is husband. So clubbing applicable.
