Hello, Spencer.. Thank you so much for this video. Firstly, I'm so confused when it comes to exporting selections. I've got a bit on my art board and I only need to export a selection as a PSD to export to Photoshop. How do I do that? I have to end up exporting all of what is on my artboard which is a nuisance. Secondly I've also noticed that the quality drops when I use 'export selection' when doing PNG as opposed to when I export it using the Export As to export it as a PNG. Is there some feature that I need to click to retain the quality of the PNG?

Thanks for the tips! I do have a question for you. I've received a vector logo that has a fade (white to 100% transparent). When saving as an eps to import into inDesign, the file does not recognize the fade and renders it as 100 white. Only saving as a hi-res png does is preview the actual fade. Is there a setting to rectify this when saving out as an eps to import into indesign?

I have a question if we save a vector base format from illustrator then if I open that format in photoshop or windows gallery why they got pixelated after some fine zoom?
@pixelandbracket3 жыл бұрын
Photoshop displays pixels, so if you zoom past 100% your document will begin to show pixels regardless if it’s vector or not. But your vector assets and text can be scaled as big as you want and won’t pixelate on their own unless you zoom in past that 100% mark

PNG files are not vector. So whatever size you save it at, 200x200 for example, is how large it’s going to be in pixels. Whatever you’re using it for, just make sure you save it large enough!

i want to export my file to jpeg in high resolution but in small size like 1000*900 px. how can i do that ?
@pixelandbracket3 жыл бұрын
i definitely need to make a video on this. 1000x900px is your resolution, forget the high or low res part for now. If you need it to be that size online somewhere, that's the best you can do, the computer basically has 1000 squares by 900 squares to make your image, no more no less. if you're printing it, 200-300 dpi (dots/pixels per inch) is generally acceptable. at most you'll get a 5in. x 4.5in. image (1000/200 = 5 and 900/200 = 4.5). if you make it 300dpi, then the print size becomes even smaller cuz the printer is laying down 300 pixels every inch rather than 200. that was more than you expected, i know, but hopefully it was understandable.
