@@ntxg Hi, the painters are there at the moment, floor tiles have been delivered and the water tanks will also go in very soon. The site manager told us he thinks it's almost dry enough to get the paths and patio concreated so it's going to be a few busy weeks. They think we may be in October some time but no promises because of the virus. The area we used to live in is under a disaster stage 4 almost a full on lockdown and we are stage 3. Our builder can only have 5 tradesmen on site at one time. Things are pretty bad here in Victoria and will hopefully get better soon.💗

We have grown them for the past three years and have loved them. I bought seeds one time and collect the seeds every year after that. Also let them reseed themselves as well. Our honeybees and the native bees all love these.

The stuff you're pulling out of the bulbs without petals, i think are immature seeds, either that or the papery stuff that is in between the seeds. When theyre white they arent yet mature (in my experience anyways) i have a lot of the bulb peices, from where the birbs got to the seeds, and all that is left is the papery stuff thats in between the seeds... unless I'm just not seeing it clear enough in the video...

@@ntxg I , too have even reading that mature seeds are DARK! the pale ones are immature. I am new to this so have been doing a LOT of reading and searching videos. since I can get so many DARK seeds from a flower (dried), I see no need to save anything but the best seeds. I live in the NE so have a shorter growing season. since we were expecting or first frost this week, I harvested a few really great flower heads and some that are I"iffy" and see how many are dark. I'd love to know from more experienced gardeners if I am on the right track ! sure miss Texas! I grew up in SAT! ,

Those papery pieces are not the seeds. The seeds are oval and brown snd have to be sorted from all of the papery parts. Marigolds do have the kind of seeds where you just pull the petals but zinnias seeds are hidden in amongst them.
