So when resources like these shut down I feel like a part of my childhood is being taken away because I have to spend extra time figuring out adulthood by myself which I could've used to act like a child instead.

I didn't watch this channel that much. I could have got more about it. I also, had to live and deal with changes. They were hard. I became an adult. I'm 30. I share rent with a brother. I wash clothes. I clean my house. I learned by doing. Life changes will be challenging for me no matter what. Once commonplaceness sets in, I am grateful for these changes.

I get that there's only so much new to say about adulting after a while. One of the good and bad things about adulthood is that things often don't change at the same breakneck pace they did when you were younger. But I hope you'll consider maybe making HTA a channel with "seasons" that start whenever you feel there's enough new material to cover and end whenever it runs out. :-)

@brentc6095

They probably won't say directly. A few possibilities (or some combination thereof): 1) Their company makes a lot of shows. They probably just feel like the time of the people working on the show can be better spent on their other channels that get more views. Look under this channel at their list of videos and look at the view counts. For the level of quality Complexly shoots for, thats just not enough views to be sustainable. An average of 20K views an episode is not going to pay the cost to make the content (just over 1 million views total over 54 videos for this new run). I don't know how up to date it is, but I saw one quote of Million views equating to $2000 dollars in add revenue, minus KZbin's 45% cut, equals $1100 (these numbers could totally be pre-adpocalypse too). They had to spend more than that just on editing for those 54 videos. We can argue all day that the quality of the content should be getting more views, but thats not how KZbin works. 2) They have hit on pretty much all the low-hanging fruit of topics for the show. I imagine it becomes increasingly difficult to come up with new topics each time they start work on a new video. They could shift the focus of the show to some other area that could inspire more content, but at that point, they may as well launch it as a new show. It is a good bet that most of the audience here that actually put in views are Nerdfighters that are going to jump on a new channel too. 3) KZbin monetization isn't in a great place. Hank has said that due to the nature of their channels it hasn't hit them as hard as other people, and in some cases has helped them. Their company is already specialized in making content that is not the main catcher of eyeballs. They have found niches where they can make that work, but this apparently is not one. I don't know that this content would ever run afoul of the monetization algorithm, but the algorithm is fickle and its certainly possible. If something like their tattoo video got demonetized, that would drastically cut into the economic equation for the channel.

The How To Adult music always reminds me of a piece of music from the anime series Steins Gate. I like that music. :) Btw, I recommend everybody to watch Steins Gate, at least if you like science fiction with time traveling. And the English dub is awesome! I often prefer to watch series and such with the original language, but with Steins Gate I prefer the English version, I highly recommend that you watch it in English. And the second season (though called Steins;Gate 0) started yesterday! (Though the second season isn't dubbed yet, but it's subbed in English.) Btw, it's mainly for adults and teens, I wouldn't recommend children to watch it.
