thank you...the question is about using ne vs neye...ie neye ihtiyacın var vs ne ihtiyacın var ..u used neye to indicate an object...but google translate used ne ..are both correct? or rather which is more used in the street lingo (i think they call it argo?)
@TurkishJourney
@TurkishJourney Ай бұрын
Hi there. The correct one is "Neye ihtiyacın var?". Because, what is needed always receives the dative case suffix. Besides, there is no object in this sentence. As I have explained at the end of this video, these sentences are nominal sentences. The objects exists in the verbal sentences, the sentences whose predicates are conjugated verbs. @@TurkishJourney Thanks again. My question is: Do the general public really care about these extra sounds, i.e. the extra sounds for prepositions or or.. like ne becomes nyie etc. or vocal harmony adjustments like fistiki shihap.. because in my opinion they are an unusually huge burden that has no add value for the logic of the sentence... so.. do they ignore them or not?

Honestly, the concepts you are talking about are the fundamental concepts of this language. They are the first things to learn if someone wants to speak Turkish. None of them are ignored. You can check here: kzbin.info/aero/PLASGkqfm55wRTZz0pXLp6MGFDTp6hy_i7

Gerek and lazım are used interchangeably most of the time. İhtiyaç is used differently.
