Can you please confirm that when describing something, it would be in the order of noun color shade? Example: kay wouj fonse?
@learnhaitiancreole5 жыл бұрын
Few corrections Haitian does not say “klè” to indicate lighter shades of colors. We say “pal” Ble pal: light blue Ble fonse “dark blue We say mòv not mov Ròz not roz . We use klè when talking about skin shade. Po klè : light skin. In Creole we have two vocabularies for black. Nwa and nwè Chèmi nwa Chodyè nwè.

I’ve always said mòv and I’ve always heard people in my family say mòv. I recently found out that mòv is a shade of purple and purple itself is supposed to be wouj violèt. I asked people in my family about it and they say that that’s right 🤦🏽♀️ Also for orange I’ve always heard them say jòn abrico (I don’t know how to spell it)
