I'm Haitian American but my parents teach me creole they only speak it around the house so I only kinda understand the language but not completely or speak it and I'm determined to learn everything in creole so it don't feel awkward when my grandma visits

Greetings. I was watching this video several times and saw that the letter oun in nasal is spelled the same as oun in non-nasel. Neither one has an accent. So, based on spelling, how do you know which one is nasal, and which one is non-nasal?
