Looking to use this for electronic casings with screw holes and snapping points around 150x100x70mm do you think this would be too small or complex?

Hi, yes this object is small, but you can follow the setting in this first half of video. Lay this object on the black clothe. Put the markers all around the object. Use "medium-large" size setting. It should get a good result.

So basically don't scan small objects with the Einstar.

It will depend on your application & size. Generally speaking, if you don't require very high accuracy, Einstar most likely can do the job. If you need better accuracy & detail, EinScan SP should be the one for small objects.

Yup, the "Small objects" setting is completely useless.
