im following along with the video. the process is not the same. im not getting the same notifications as you. app and options are different, im having trouble working out the push note to post later

@@mattduncan5500 Hi Matt! We have since updated the application and you can find an updated playlist on our channel. You can auto publish reels now! However for the push notification, toggle off auto publish and that will prompt a manual publish where you can add in the presets if you’d like to do it via push notification.

Hi Rachel, Thanks for the tutorial. One detail I hope you can address. YT shorts thumbnails. Are they randomly picked from the video or is there a way to choose which frame we want to use as a thambnail. I usually put mine upfront of the video with 0.5 senconds long and then make sure it is selected on the YT app. Otherwise, even YT mess it up. If anyone else using metricool and can help with this question, I very much appreciate it. Thanks.

Hello! They are randomly picked for the video. Choosing a cover for the Short is a limitation we have from the KZbin API. We hope they will change this in the future so we can add the feature. :)

I am confused. So actually it doesn't really auto schedule? I mean we need to be attentive on the day it's gonna be posted on, and then manually add music to it, THEN post it ourselves, isn't it? Please clear this doubt for me..

Hi Mani! We made an update on our tool and you can schedule TikTok, Reels and KZbin Shorts with Metricool and the tool will autopublish your content. With TikTok only on business account, with personal account you need to make the last step on the app.

This is awesome! I've been using CapCut to edit on my phone. Is this doable all from the Metricool phone app, to avoid having to send videos from my phone over to my computer and then back again?

Thank you! We do not have the ability to edit reels within our app. The videos must be uploaded as is or you can schedule a push notification for the video and finish your remaining edits within the app you are posting to. :)

I want to know if I film a video on my phone, can I just use the Metricool app to schedule it or do I need to do the scheduling on my desktop Metricool? I prefer to not have to send my phone edited with CapCut video over to my desktop, then schedule it there to go back to my phone with a notification from Metricool. I'd rather just use my phone. First the Metricool app, then the notification for my Insta or TT, but never having to use Metricool desktop for my video posts.

You can autopost the first comment on IG with hashtags. For IG, you can upload a thumbnail or select a frame and then on TikTok you are able to select a frame of your video. :)

But that’s not how it works is it Rachael. I have just joined and I find it auto posts reels to Facebook without music. Which means I have to get it deleted. 2nd problem is it alerts me to post my Instagram reel but I can’t post there because again no music. So I have to go post from my gallery. Hello! You can't add trending sounds from any 3rd party schedulers due to API limitations. If you require a sound, you either need to already have it edited in or post manually with a push notification so you can add in the sound last upon time of posting. :)

Hello! Currently, 3rd party tools don't have API access to trending sounds. You will have to import your video with the audio already attached or schedule it manually via push notification. We hope this is something they update soon!

Hi! There are many factors that influence the reach of a reel, such as the selected audio, the quality, the time of publication, etc. Publishing it with Metricool should not affect it negatively. But we will review the app to find improvements and opportunities 😊

Hello! You are able to upload a thumbnail for IG Reels. :) You can also select a cover for both IG Reels and TikToks which is a frame from your video. Uploading thumbnails for Shorts is not yet supported via the APIs.

So... you're not really scheduling it because you have to manually put in the sounds. So you're just kind of preparing a post and then when you're ready to publish, youre going in and doing the last minute changes. which means you'll have to go in everytime you want to post. which defeats the purpose Might as well just have it as a draft in-app and have a reminder set up.

In terms of trending sounds, we recommend already adding the sound in so you can fully schedule it out. However if you would like to pull the sound directly from IG, we suggest the manual publish. This will send a push notification to your phone and then you can manually add the sound in the app. ☺️

@@HOTTIPSDESIGN The audio getting recognized is not guaranteed every time. Instagram does a good job of detecting but there are exceptions with copyright and certain artists. Most uploaded sounds will get recognized and often times you can appeal the copyright flag.
