Hello! Thank you for your question. Currently, we can only select a cover frame in our scheduler due to API limitations. We don't have a current ETA of when we will be able to add a thumbnail option but we are continuously checking for any updates. Hopefully soon! ☺

How about adding sounds to reels and tiktoks? Is there way to open straight app of Tiktok or Instagram?

Due to API limitations from TikTok and IG, 3rd party apps don't have access to sounds. You can schedule manually on Metricool with a push notification though so that at the time of publishing you will have everything ready and you only have to add in that sound as a finishing touch. Additionally, you can upload the videos to Metricool with the sounds already attached.

Is there a way to add a cover image to the tiktok post that is not in the video? I’m working with a client that wants covers but I don’t see how to schedule that, so I’ve been going in manually to do it.

Hello! So this is a newer feature in the TikTok app and they have not opened up API access to add it to 3rd party tools just yet. We currently only have the option to select a frame. We hope they will update this soon and are always monitoring for API updates! Not sure if you are scheduling completely manually in the TikTok app but you can manually schedule in Metricool with a push notification so that you can at least upload the content and caption and then just go in and add the cover photo at the time of posting as a finishing touch. :)

tiktok has a way to add a covertext. I typically use this to add a quick way to see what each video is about when scrolling. is that something possible to add through metricool?

Hello! So unfortunately this is not a feature due to the TikTok API for 3rd party tools. The only thing we can do is select a cover, but the text must already be in the frame. We can't add it like in the app. If you already have text in your video, you are able to select a frame that displays that text though!

You can select a cover by clicking the 3 dots next to your uploaded content! If you don't need to add any additional text, you can simply slide through your video and select a frame. 😁

Hello! You can but not nested under one brand! For each brand you have connected, you get 1 account of each social profile (1 TT, 1 IG, 1 FB, etc) :) So if you wanted to connect another TikTok account, you would have to associate it under a new brand!

Yes! The TikTok API only allows us to give those in-depth analytics to business accounts. Hopefully, they will update this in the future! 🤞 You wouldn't lose access to all trending sounds but you would have a more limited audio selection.

Thank you so much for the tutorial, I have a question: whenever I try to plan an upload of a video on TikTok via Metricool I receive an email telling me I must download the video to my device and then upload it on TikTok...how can I make Metricool upload the video directly on TikTok without having me to do it manually?

Hello! You will need a business account for auto publishing! The other case may be that you have manual publish on. When you are in the planner, make sure that the auto-publish button is toggled on. 😁

At 10:10, so the characters limit when adding the caption is on metricool's end? Because TT native editor allows up to 2,200 chars to be used. Does this happen with other platforms as well? Thanks for clarifying!

We recently updated the character count so now you can have 2000 characters on TikTok within our scheduling platform. :)

Limitations are usually set by the APIs of the platforms but we update our tool as often as possible according to any API changes. :)

Hi Kathren. With the API limitations from TikTok, only business accounts have full auto publishing capabilities. You can use it with a personal account but you would need to schedule with a push notification. We hope TikTok will lift this limitation in the future!
