This is relatable on a whole new level, peer pressure mein aa k I myself bought a hotshot online course by STEP because the entire world was praising KIPS and STAR and what not, Istg those lectures are so long followed by ‘live sessions’ in which they apparently tell stuff which is not in the lecture and are ‘tips’. These sessions are completely useless believe me. Nearpeer is a good platform but then again, lengthy lectures. Sitting in front of the computer for long hours doesn’t leave you in the state of mind to study again from your books, I’ll suggest (something i’m doing too) to stick to the books, keep an online course like nearpeer that’s available till exam date just as a sideline to understand concepts that you can’t on your own. Khud parho kitabein, practice karo past papers, step ki books wagaira (kips is too hard tbvh), jo nai samaj ata consult the online platform.

Not all academies are the same. I went to kips in rawalpindi and it was a really great experience, i learned alot, asked questions and cleared concepts, and I'm now a med student. Hundreds of kids get in med schools each year through academies, you can't invalidate them all by your one experience. I respect and have been a viewer of abdullah for a really long time, but to anyone reading this who will take mcat this year, i suggest you to ask around and gain info about academies near you, what options you can avail, etc instead of blindly taking the word of one youtuber. It's your entire future at stake, after all.

@@doctormbbs2022 Yes, I got into SMC(JSMU). Videos are helpful only if you make notes out of them. Same goes for the lectures at your academy. Reading textbooks and solving as much as MCQs as possible is the key. The lectures and videos will make your concepts but the reading and solving part will help you retain them. Learn the answers of MCQs you find really confusing (only after understanding the concept). Revise the notes you make everyday and do two subjects per day. My self study time was 6 hrs atleast with one or two breaks. At my time only sindh board textbooks were required for MDCAT but now I guess it's punjab board or something so use those for reading/extra concepts. I watched Unacademy for topics that I missed or wasn't taught in much detail at my academy. Keep Unacademy at 2-3 videos per day only if you have the time. MCQs are everything! Solve as many MCQs as you can from all resources, online and books. Attempt mock tests that are conducted by different organizations around the city for practice and to see your performance. I took the AKU test as a mock test lol, cleared it tho ✌🏼. And last don't stress yourself out. I know it's hard but stay calm. BEST OF LUCK!! Hope this helps.

i was expecting a bit more information on how to manage and study part 1 and 2 together with building concept regarding every topic and how to prepare for it in 3 months, because I've already joined kips and its so much hectic, barely have time for self study and mcat is all about self study, what should we do ?-? there's live lectures along with recorded lectures which takes the whole time, i don't even take long breaks and i'm still left with lot to cover.

Hey there! I've joined the kips preparatory session too. What I would suggest is don't take live lectures focus on the recorded ones. First attend the recorded lectures then study from your book. Your main focus should be your book; study thoroughly from there. Read every sentence keenly. And then take the test. One chapter would take 6 hours maximum even if you're a slow reader and don't have clear concepts.

Live lectures are basically fast revision lectures which you can do on your own as well and it would consume much less time. By now you should be almost done with your 1st year syllabus. If not, don't worry there's still a week before 2nd year starts. Study smartly. Don't gather too much material(it becomes difficult to memorize as well). Hope it helps🌸
