Now was that for Pope and young because do I need to deduct points just like Boone and Crockett or how does that work on the kickers or drop tines or anything abnormal don't you the deduct it? And do you measure each G1 G2 G3 from The top ot middle OF main beam?

Taylor Young because my comment was to make a statement to the contrary of actually not caring. Indeed, I do care...that we’ve gotten away from what was once considered the original reason for hunting...and have replaced it with superficial values. Unfortunately, too many hunters can now spew numbers relating to antler size...but can not remove a back strap or, for that matter, skin an animal. However, those individuals who can do all the above proficiently...I respect.

@@hikenmikes8262 . Knowing how to measure, is good to know. Had opportunities to harvest large antlerd bucks, hasn't happened. But l never hunt for a big rack,l prefer big hips. :). You learn as you go, l now at harvest, clean deer well inturnally, leave hide on and hang for 5 day's, keep 40 degrees, then process butcher. Allows acid to come out, very tender. All that sit for a meal, say, as good or better than beef.
