Doh, I never thought about your brilliant tip... I always squish the head while working on the face 🤨, so now I’ll take your brilliant advice and cook it BEFORE working on the face🤗 Thanks so much for that, and the work you put into sharing your techniques. x

This is so cool, can I ask a couple questions? How long do u bake for and what degrees? You used a white sculpy and then the skin tone one, is this a different brand/ different material? Can I paint on the clay or put in oven first, harden and then paint? Also can the aluminum wire / foil go into oven? Thanks soo so much your work is beautiful!
@emzoddworks4 жыл бұрын
Hi, so you need to follow the pack instructions but normally 130c for 60mins for larger pieces. The white one here is ultralight, not for sculpting with just for filling out the armature. The pink clay is super sculpey beige, foil and wire and clay go in the oven then you paint :)

@emzoddworks3 жыл бұрын
It can be difficult, I've squished a lot of faces too in the past, it does take practice. The videos always make it look easier than it is, you have to be aware of what bit you are holding while concentrating on another area, keep trying you will improve!

@@emzoddworks thank you and I will definitely keep trying. Managed to get the feet and hands looking half decent just stuck with the face. Practice makes perfect as they say. Thanks again

This is so crazy, I guess I never knew where to look all these years. I have been struggling with this being my interest for a decade easily. I am 53 now, and a 6ft 3 270lb guy who has for that time been trying to figure out why I wanted to make dolls... think about that! Then I stumble across a, lady named Emma doing the exact type of crafting I had stuck in my head yet never exposed to it before. I have been sculpting at times, then wired armature's then messing with Smooth On products in a vicious circle for like I said easily ten years. Never able to quite put the Trio together. So I have felt like a failure because I would keep spending money off and on in material, then it would sit because I would glaze over like a yummy Donut, but not in a good way obviously. I been married for 25 years to someone with ZERO interest in anything like this. Sure liked looking at it, but to desire to make them ..hell no! Pff.. Should of found a circle that I belonged in like this. Me thinks things would have been a tad different....

Hey, thanks for your lovely comment, it's certainly never too late to start, there are plenty of male sculptors that make creatures too, look up Toby Froud.
