WOW. Huge thank YOU for this video. I'm trying to make hands with polymer clay. UGH. It's so easy to distort it while working on the fingers. Your video really helped me a lot. The biggest thing is so simple and DUH.. it makes all the difference.. to make it longer to have something to hold on to. (sometimes, I'm such an idiot- LOL). Have you ever tried it with polymer clay? I love the details you put in yours. I have a fantastic tool that makes perfect teeny fingernails. That's the best part. AND the lines where the fingers bend. It's just so hard to smooth out and make the fingers round shaped. Thanks so much.. Now I'll see if you have more videos.

P.S. You have GREAT hands. It's always the first thing I notice about people. then teeth. LOL.

I am glad video helps 😊. In this video I am using chavant clay,a bit different then polymer clay,but still based on oil. But it's same thing as polymer,I used it because I had it laying around. Will h this technique,u can sculpt hands with any clay. Distortion is always problem with polymers,baking in few stages helps with that. Keep sculpting,put more hours in and you will get better,simple as that. All sculpting you ever saw was possible because of a lot of practice,not a talent,talent doesn't exist,only interest . More interested you are in to something,more time you will spend on it,and that will make u better. Enjoy the process,it's a puzzle solving art ;)

I am also a KZbin artist and I do sculpture in ecofriendly clay which is air hardening and water soluble clay. In my clay I can’t able to do minor details. Could you please suggest me better clay which I can buy in INDIA ? Nice tutorial👌🏼 #MultiArtByOmkar
@GameCultureSculpture4 жыл бұрын
Hey Omkar. I completely understand you, it's almost impossible to do minor details with cheap water based clay. With that kind of clay you have to focus on bigger simple uniformed forms,and finer details should be done by carving or sending after the clay is dry. I had an idea to make video about what can be done with cheap clays,soon. After quick search i found that Amazon in India have Super sculpey, which was the first better clay i tried and i still use it on a lot of projects. It doesn't dry and you can bake in normal kitchen oven on 110 Celsius . Stick around ,ill be making a lot of tutorials ,seems like there is more to be said about sculpting and i feel like i need to give back to community ,because i learned most of the stuff i know over internet. Try to look for super sculpey in local shops,or close to you place by ordering online. Here is the link of super sculpey medium blend(best one) from Indian amazon. Good luck and have fun,and remember if it doesnt work,that means you need to practice or think more,and most important thing, have fun ,if you have fun,you will not mind all the time needed to do what you would like ;). @GameCultureSculpture4 жыл бұрын
@@omkar2890 Sure thing ;). Don't worry, cool stuff can be done with any material,you just need to learn it's capabilities and order of things with it. What would you like to see being sculpted with that kind of clay?
@omkar28904 жыл бұрын
ChicaBala the clay you suggested is too costly for me. It is for Rs. 10,000 which is nearly equal to USD 137 per 150lbs.
@omkar28904 жыл бұрын
ChicaBala I would like to see how can we make human (any superhero) in standing pose on legs only without any other support. If your are using cheap water base clay for the first time then I would like to give you one tip which is, armatures system won’t work in such clays. Clay will crack after drying if we use armature in it.

Hey Man, i see the tutorial and i really miss how do u do the details to finish the hand. In a small hand it is very difficult to define the details and you do not teach anything. Otherwise thanks
@GameCultureSculpture3 жыл бұрын
As i stated in the beginning of the video, this is tutorial only for basic hand form, for details i need to make another video. Don't bother with details if you are just starting, if you don't get form right, details will not make it look better. Btw try to be a bit more grateful for free stuff, now days you have to pay for tutorials. Cheers

@@GameCultureSculpture Sorry if you were offended. It was not my intention. it's just that I expected more from your tutorial. I don't have to be more grateful for content that hasn't taught me anything new. I hope that one day you can do a second part where you show more details. Cheers
