Added this to my cosplay tutorials playlist... not sure what it might be useful for just yet but I like it. Thanks for the detailed tutorial on your technique! I couldn't tell how you were doing it on the fast sculpting dragon's tear.

Hello and thank you so much for your video. I myself am a multi-creative. Am currently doing my own sea dragon with teeth etc... I was stumped about what i could use for scales. You have made it so much easier for me now.

Thank you I have been trying to create Dragon shoes for ages and all anyone talks about is Resin (which i hate) ! I've done clay tentacles before so this is amazing !

WOW!!!! You have definitely inspired me! I want to make this box now! I do not have your type of clay but I have pounds & pounds of air-dry clay that may work for this. I also have polymer clay but I wouldn't use that on this as it would cost me an arm & a leg or two - lol!

Lavender Rainbow I have never tried the air dry clay. Let me know how it works out. You can get the Aves Apoxie Clay from Amazon. Here is a link to some of my favorite sculpting materials: davidleepancake.com/links/

@@DavidLeePancakeArt I live in Ontario, Canada. On Amazon they are charging $228 CDN for 4lb of this (~$162 USD). I did find 3lbs of "FIX-IT Sculpt" for $74.90. Have u ever used this? The comments say that this is better than what u are using. Hmmmm....I did click on your link but it doesn't show any sellers for your clay. I will have to look around. Keep up the awesome work - You are incredibly talented! I am just starting my sculpting journey. I do have polymer clay as well to try.

Lavender Rainbow thanks for the heads up on this issue. I have not used FIX-IT sculpt so I just don’t know. Perhaps someone else who does know can answer. Anyone? In the meantime polymer clays, while not as strong, are a great way to learn and create.

Very cool. So you sell the resin box and not the original wood one right? With the eyes do you just paint the resin ones? The ones on the original don’t look painted.

Hey, sorry for the long delay, I just saw your question. I buy glass cabochons on amazon and use photoshop to print out a sheet of eyes then I glue the glass to the sheet and cut the eyes out. When I cast in resin I use a modified paper clip to hold the glass eyes in place and pour resin around them. Each box has a very realistic eye.

Thank you for sharing how you make the scales I have been working on a dragon for a while,of and on but have not been happy with it at all since seeing how you made your scales I should be able to adapte this technique to my polymer clay dragon 😊 But I will have to scrap what I have done and start over again simply as it's just not what I want 😹😹 but I can see this technique will work on any shape which is great 😹Thanks for sharing🤗🤗🤗

David your work is simply amazing. You are beyond words talented. Your videos are very educational. Do you think i could use the same techniques with polymer clay?

Snaggles13 works great with polymer clay. Thanks for the kind comment!
