I’ve used an airless sprayer for my deck. I know it says on the can not to use a high-pressure sprayer….but when the water beads on my deck after application I figure it’s ok 👌🏼

Thanks for the video, deck looks great. I ran into the same scenario where it rained about 8 hours later, but it was sunny and hot when I applied it. It appeared dry to the touch when I was done applying it. My question is: did it bead up after it rained? I woke up this morning and realized that it rained over night. However, there were no water beads from the rain. It looks as though the rain soaked through the wood. I applied it in the same fashion as you did. When I first applied this 3 years ago, there were water beads everywhere after a rain storm.

Yes it did bead after it rained.

I 🤔 you applied the waterproofing sealant while the wood was still too new, as it needs several months before application. Furthermore, you need 24-48 Hours before having it exposed to water ( or ☔. Let me know how it held up monthsvlater

Hi Jeff. Tom from Kanata. We have a deck that is stained with a chocolate coloured stain that is required by condo rules got to look uniformed with the rest of the units. Can I use Tompson Water Seal over top of the stain. I have found that some of the flat hand rail boards are starting to rot from the standing rain and snow would this help prolong the life of these areas. I am a subscriber and love your channel. This is just my opinion, but as long as it is the same base as the stain, then it should help a bit as long as it is able to penetrate, but oil and water don't mix so you would want to go with what the other stain is. Also, I would recommend testing a small patch in a inconspicuous spot to see how it affects the color first to make sure you get the results that you want.

It does not. It feels as if it has a coating of watered down lacquer on top. It actually feels nice on your bare feet.

@@TheRandyMan the website says 200 sq ft per gallon. Did you use up a 5 gal can for 400’. ?

@@a1ar127 The can says "Maximum Coverage Area (Sq. Feet)400". I had just over 400sqf so I used one can. Check the description on the Lowes website. In your case it sounds like 2 cans.

They really only hold for a short time even if it says 3 years. You will most likely 2 years at thr most.
