Honestly one of the best videos for inboard. Quick and good info thank you!

never owned an inboard so this may be a stupid question, is it possible for the prop to hit the trailer?
@92813justin3 жыл бұрын
If you are doing it right, no. But it does happen if not done correctly. The bollards in the water are to help keep you on the center on the boat. I usually see people start making a mistake when they go through the two bollards but miss the front part of the trailer.

Do you have any videos of replacing boat trailer bearings?

Not yet but I will add it to the list

The only problem with people driving their boats onto trailers instead of using their winch is that they often creat a deep hole at the end of the ramp which eventually destroys a good ramp. As time goes by trailer wheels end up falling into a deep hole at the end of the ramp and get stuck. The concrete ramp loses it's support and also drops, cracks and breaks away. Sure, it's a little bit harder, but I always think it's best to use your winch when you can.

Then the ramp is obviously not built right. Driving on and off the trailer is the correct, most efficient and SAFEST way to load and unload. Why would anyone risk injuring themselves trying to manually load a heavy boat? It's primitive. Build a longer concrete ramp, it's the 21st century.

@@eddrichards5000 Good solution but most boat ramps aren't built to suit drive off and ons. Most aren't built correctly which is the entire point of my post. Driving off and onto trailers ruins a lot of boat ramps.

For an Instructor, that final up the trailer could have been cleaner, instead of relying on the rails to line you up. I saw that and though what were you saying?
