They will last a long time, if the bricks ever crack you can replace them and just add more sand when needed. Thanks so much for watching

Flames coming out of the top is fine and normal, it's actually how it is meant to work and why it is so efficient. The jet is from secondary combustion where the smoke ignites and burns. This means is produces a lot less smoke and your neighbours will be thankful for that.
@BTROutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Cool to know, mine has never had flames out the top and it still burns very well . They place where we purchased it told us not to have flames coming out the top. I will look into that info for future videos. Thanks for the comment and info, and thank you for watching
@srspower3 жыл бұрын
@@BTROutdoors to be fair your chiminea is huge compared to the norm. So I guess it would be a big fire to get flames out of the top with yours. But for a normal sized one? Once seasoned a jet is normal and safe.
@BTROutdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@srspower Thanks for the info, I might have to get a smaller one, any suggestions?

@@BTROutdoors I'm in the UK so might not be able to give you many! But to be fair yours is great, it's like what many pubs gardens have here.
@Endeva09 Жыл бұрын
Not to be “that guy” but you are NOT supposed to have flames coming out of the top of the chiminea - if you have fire coming out the top you have put far too much wood in.
@eddierodden3 жыл бұрын
Once the seasoning process is complete, will you use the same set up going forward for bigger fires.
@BTROutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Yes , but remember do not make them to big or you might crack it. They say if fire is coming out the top the fire is to big. Thanks for watching and thanks for the good question

when building the fire, the flame height is the top of the face fire hole, rather than the top of the pipe or top, that the flames must stay below, from what i understand.
