Do you think the free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates are ok for small Woocommerce shops, or are the premium ones better, from a security standpoint?

The free ones are fine for smaller stores. The security, as far as I can tell, is not different. It is the level of investigation that is put in by the security registrar to confirm that the entity is who they say they are that varies. For instance, a Nike website will have Nike.com green badge next to the URL. That means an independent authority has verifeid domain ownership...Not that they have better or stronger encryption
