Hey, great vid as always! It made me think of my next planned website. Can you tell what exactly is needed, how many plugins to make a (smallish) e-commerce website secure? Like what is needed to make a website secure as possible: SSL, Sucuri and so on. It would help lot of viewers to ease their minds as website creation or making a website as secure as possible can be really overwhelming.

Your video was made in May, yet in August 2021 my plugin screens look nothing like any of yours. Is your tutorial redundant already? Or, have I downloaded a clone? Also, my icon in the dashboard has not tiny man in it. It's just a plain white shield with a border.

Of course my screens didn’t look like yours. 😫. They made some changes. When I changed the backend login from WP Admin to something else, it does say not found in the URL, but I noteiced that my "under construction" page does come up. I'm not getting the 404 page. Will I get the 404 page once my site is live?

Thanks, Levi. What if I use more than one computer to access my admin, and thus one to two IP addresses (a desktop and a Chromebook, or a laptop and a tablet, when traveling). Can I input more than one IP address, so that I am not locked out of or have my account suspended when it's me using various devices depending on where I am at the time I need to log in? Yes, you can. It is called a whitelist so because you can list off multiple IP addresses. That way you can have multiple computers that are labeled as "safe" to login to your site.

Hey there, well, I was wondering this as well (I have a Chromebook from Asus) but that works just fine since you only need your webbrowser and an internet connection. So yes no problem because Wordpress is not actually downloaded on your computer but more on your server.

as I am WordPress expert and old user, I highly recommend to use only one plugin for same function as if you run more than one plugin to do same task they will work against each other and reflect the functionality and this will any way affect your site loading or smoothly running

@S Gowsic Raja to move your site online follow the steps. 1. Create a zip file of your complete wordpress code. 2. Export your database from phpmyadmin 3.Goto live server and create a database and user assign user to that db and give all privilege to that user. 4.Now goto your files on live server and upload the zip file in the root public fold er 5. Now extract the zip file and open wp-config and change the db name user name and password according to the one you created on live. 6. Import your db inside phpmyadmin on live server 7.open wp-options table and chahe the home and site url with your domain url 8. Goto browser and check the website THANK YOU.

Great, but the pain is in restoring the back up. U need to do a tutorial on that, especially on restoring a broken site.

Using this method would definitely be a pain. If the website is completely hacked/trashed, then it must be fully deleted, then a fresh/blank copy of WordPress installed, followed by Updraft, followed by loading a backup copy/zip, then restoring it. In this case, you would be better off using backups stored at the hosting company, if the host stores backups for you, just use their restore tool. I prefer my host to have backups and then I double it up with Updraft and those are sent offsite to Amazon S3. WPEngine, SiteGround, and may others, have some built-in backups, whether 7 days or 30 days, it's easier to use theirs if you can.

If you got an SSL and it caused and error on your website, you will need to get in contact with your customer support from the company you got the certificate from.
