I gather its the the same blue tape as the sanding blocks. Love your videos mate.

Over here on the left side of the pond, we call this nyrod, a tube in a tube. It's okay for throttle and maybe nose gear steering, but I don't like it for control surfaces. Too much drag can make it difficult for the control surface to return to neutral, making trimming a nightmare, especially if there's any slop in the system at all. Nice woodworking there, boss.

Hi Richard, totally agree. I have used them for control surfaces in the past, but not any more, mainly due to the thermal expansion changing the trim from one day to the next.. I actually think they are benificial on landing gear as the probably absorbe a little of the shock. Thanks for the comment, appreciate as always - take care

@@MarkRobinson555 Thermal expansion (and contraction)! I had forgotten about that, it's been so long since I've used them. Most annoying. My Sig Kadet Senior will be getting good old-fashioned quarter inch square balsa pushrods with music wire ends. My Hanger 9 Christian Eagle, on the other hand, has carbon fiber pushrods with titanium rod ends. Only the best for this hot rod. Is it wrong to love a hobby this much?
