No, I don’t think he’s pretending to be awkward. Neither do I think he has much of an issue with confidence. At least not anything that wouldn’t be considered normal. I think we just make the conflation between awkwardness and insecurity when in reality those behaviors are mutually exclusive.

The hottest line I ever got was “do you want some company?” And I did. I was bored at the bar and that sounded like a great idea. Also in regards to flirting : in a situation where it can be assumed people are there to find some kind of relationship… that’s when to flirt. Compliments and mentioning how you’d like to get to know them are appreciated

I have the best rule for pickign up women or men if you are a female. LOWER YOUR STANDARDS AND INCREASE YOUR AVERAGE. Obvious the guy that approached you was some what cute. Im sure if he was an Igor you would of said im waiting for a friend. Women and men are shallow they wants looks first then they hope they have a personality. I do not blame peopl eeither its hard to be attrated to someone your not attracted to.

@@rc59191 Its not solely about personality. It only matters when your appearance is sufficient to them. Imagine you looked like a woman due to androgen insensitivity syndrome but acted like a man. Obviously, you wouldn't have success with heterosexual women regardless of confidence. Its about perception. Looks influence the perception of personality and personality influences the perception of looks. The rate of change in perception depends on the initial condition---appeaeance. The more attractive you are to them, the higher the probability of success.
