HOW TO SEE AND HEAR

I believe God has revealed some important Spiritual lessons in the Old Testament account of Jacob at Bethel that will aid us in perceiving God.
1. Jacob laid His head on a rock - His logic is laid upon God.
2. Jacob is laying down - He is at rest ceasing from his own efforts.
3. Jacob shuts His eyes - He closes his eyes to this world.
4. Jacob perceives - His eyes open to perceive

This message came right on time for me! I was struggling with canceling a vacation that would affect my friend who had taken time off from work and reserved a resort stay 3000 miles away! I knew the Lord told me that we needed to postpone it; that it was not the right time to travel and I struggled all week. What you said about logic really spoke to me because I was trying to find logical reasons why we should continue to go ahead with this trip even though in my heart I wanted to obey the Lord. When I saw your message post I laughed and praised God at the same time because I really needed this encouragement. I was able to speak to her and she was totally in agreement and understood and had no problem canceling and rearranging so I believe that it will work out! God is so wonderful and my heart wants to trust him at all times!
