Thank you for sharing this very methodical approach with us. I feel where most art tutorials fail is they are way too vague for beginners. "Just draw what you see" "Just practice more" "Just draw from life". Seeing it broken down like this makes it really approachable.

Before I started learning to draw, I hated Sargent. I thought he painted basic rich people and I couldn’t understand why art people were always gushing about him. Now I can’t get enough Sargent.
