Your "most elegant solution" approach is one of the best things I have heard in terms of drawing. Like it truly broke through my biggest obstacles in trying to simplify my drawings when I use a reference. I was always so focused on accuracy and the little details and this really helped me.

Great video! I had almost the exact same experience when I first saw a Bouguereau painting, except it was in Houston I think, with the one called “The Elder Sister”.
