Hi, Ash! I usually don't comment, bc I don't feel very confident with my English (I'm Brazilian), though I can understand everything you say. But today I felt the need to do it. I've been watching your videos since 2019, my first year of college. Today, I'm graduated and married, and I see how much you and Taylor have made a difference in my spiritual growth over the past few years. I can't even count how many times I was frustrated with my spiritual inconstancy and you helped me to once again to abandon my idols and surrender before the Lord. You are an inspiration to me, I love your ministry and have been praying for you. God bless you, know that your work makes a big difference and that the Holy Spirit has used you in a beautiful way! ❤

Didn't realize I was a control freak until I had kids, then came the anxiety! Almost ruined our vacays too. So much to worry about with kids, the pets. I regret not leaning on God & scripture. My kids are now in college, and I'm finally learning how to let go of worry, it's a struggle now with new worries of them away! You are a great mom! Give yourself breathing room. God has your back, I know you know this.

Prayer, reading the Bible, listening to quiet music, are what we need. Any time spent with the Lord (even if it's only quiet time in thought talking to Him in our one way conversation) can help us release the rush and prepare our hearts and minds for what we have to do. Sometimes I talk to Him when I'm putting make up on or when I get in the car to drive somewhere. We're all busy so I really enjoyed this today Ashley. Things can get so hectic that we forget to simply talk to the Lord. Thank you for this today! I hope you have a very nice trip...enjoy it!🙏🎵

Thank you, Ashley, for being transparent with your life. I am struggling with controlling things, people, and being mad 😠. I got so mad yesterday I skipped evening service . I didn't really have a reason to be mad it was just a spirit that came over me, and I got disgusted with everyone in my presence. I listened to a sermon today "why you nad??" 😂 perfect for me and I have to pray to have more of Christ nature 🙏

God is so good!! I’ve been asking Jesus to help me to “let go of the fear over my kids” I have older children and I just want to keep them home at all times! We have lost their father to cancer when they were younger and I know that losing their father has a lot to do with me wanting to keep them close to me. I just pray for this fear to go away. I know the Lord is protecting my babies. I am just fearful 😭. Thank you Ashley for being vulnerable. May God continue to bless you and your beautiful family💜

I usually don't comment on youtube, but just wanted to thank you for being so vulnerable and open about your struggles. I have and still can struggle with control, pride, and other things you mentioned and have felt the weight of it all for so long. It is nice to realize I'm not alone in those struggles, and I don't have to allow guilt, shame, or condemnation to put placed over me because of these struggles. I've struggled with being anxious over the fact that I have these struggles and feel like I shouldn't feel these certain ways, when in reality I'm just human and the Lord realizes that. He's daily working in those areas, and it's okay that it's been a battle. Just thank you again.. It helps knowing I'm not alone!

Hello Ashley! I to am a control freak. Had this conversation just the other day. Because we really have no control over anything in our life. The only control we have is over ourself. Intentional is my word for this year coming 24-25. I’m so glad I’m not the only one that gets stressed out on grocery day. I have to order groceries online because I don’t have a car. Its stressful! I surrender myself to THE LORD and come into agreement with HIM and ask HIM to make the changes in me where people see HIM in me and not the world. Because try as I may to do the right thing and say the right things I fail 7 out of 10 times but THE LORD HE never fails.

You shared a lit of thoughts I've had. Thank you for being open. You encourage me in this fight. Let's fight the enemy together and not let him steal our joy and peace in Christ. Wow Ashley, I feel you. I'm also such a control freak and not nice person at all when I get into that mood and level of anxiety. I think for me the root of it is unsafety which causes untrust and that causes need to control etc... because in the past, in my childhood I needed to do things on my own, there was no safety. I see The roots in normal psychological stuff but definetaly God is the healer and trusting in Him through everything is The key. Still it is sometimes nessessary to do emotional and psychological work through psychological counselling. Of course Enemy uses our wounds to attack on. For me, I also see I'm very prideful in my need to control and that's sin. Oh, God is so good. Hi just wants us to trust in His sweet and loving intervention and deliverance which is so good.❤

A lot of us struggle with anxiety around these topics. As you say, we put ourselves in control and that in my case was misplaced responsibility. I pocked up responsibility for making sure (as if I had any control) lol, for others happiness or enjoyment when I planned a holiday or event. People are responsible for their own happiness or enjoyment. I have had anxiety a lot over finances, again, not my responsibility to provide but God's. My part is to steward well what He provides. I will let you have the title and author of a good book when I actually find it, I know you will like it. Take care. Loved this vlog ❤

It’s so hard to become a new mom, wife, homemaker, work, etc etc. I pray that you able to rest and figure it out the roots. In doing the same here except my roots that I’m figuring out is more of childhood trauma that I feel like it comes from generational curses of my family…

So related to the things you said in this video. Vacations and money and anxiety. Pull up the weed but not getting all the root. Listening to the Holy Spirit when he's talking and reminding me of things. You know I can hear the Holy Spirit talking to me throughout the day and totally blow him off about what he's putting in my heart because I don't want to listen but the funny thing is he reminds me later that hey I was there and you ignored me. Which is amazing God doesn't give up on us and he keeps working on us. So maybe the next time the weed comes up it's not as strong as before and we get more of the root when we confess and learn. I'll be thinking on this today and the next week. The weeds in my flower garden of me. Like that metaphor. Thoughts were a little disjointed but hopefully you get what I mean.

I hope this helps a teeny bit...My mom has always said that vacations are for spending money and eating. Simple. Easy. True! What's your alternative - stay home and eat and spend money anyway, but not on vacation mode. I'd rather vacation mode spend and eat. Relax. Renew. Enjoy. Always remaining thankful for and in all things. A couple of other things: 1) it's not like your being wasteful; 2) you and Johnny work and have earned this restful time and most importantly; 3) the Lord will provide. Stay blessed and have a wonderful time doing what get-aways are for...spending $ and eating 😋

One thing that might help you (not saying your fully doing this idk) is to stop saying I have fear, I have anxiety, I struggle with this or that. Remember life and death is in the power of the tongue. So if you speak it over yourself, it can give the devil a legal right to attack you by it, and you end up accidentally cursing yourself spiritually and won’t get delivered. Instead, you can renounce any agreements you made with the devil to have fear or anxiety or pride and speak like out loud to yourself, like this bible verse for example: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 and praying Psalms 23 over yourself I think really helps against anxiety
