The blank mask layer tip was a brilliant bit of serendipity! I’d had a go at recolouring but often found that red selected too much in the picture. Often the area you want to recolour is discrete of the other areas, so just adding the mask and doing some quick brush strokes should work a treat!

Just what I needed. Question. I want to recolour using the eye dropper ( for a more specific colour/ tone. I don’t see I can do that with Hsl. Like, what if the colour I want to change is like, brown.. What colour in the Hsl tab would I start with if I wanted to change to, cay beige. Start with red?

Could i use any tempered screen protector for my ipad Or just that from paperlike or any matte screen ? Does it matter?

Guten Tag! :) Good question, it depends on the colour of the hair in the first place, if it's blond or similar light colour I've used the 'recolour' filter in the past with good results. Black or darker hair is tricker. Might make a tutorial on this down the line :)

Thanks Mario and yes I use Paperlike, the exact one I use is in the description of the video… it’s pricey compared to other screen protectors but I’m really impressed with it, love it in fact! Couldn’t do without it to be honest. Hope this helps… did you mean paperlike or paperlink sorry? Haven’t come across paperlink that’s why I ask :)

Oh no. When I painted black on the mask, the painted part became transparent. I must have some setting wrong.

If the colour of the object you wanna change colour is not in the _colour studio_ … you’re done! In all holes!😢 Photoshop on iPad works like a charm. Affinity is the uncle we’d rather avoid, but owns the crib. Crappy!😮
