The way Affinity Photo selects the hair is just magical. They really created an alternative road against Adobe. And they are far better than Photoshop in iPad no doubt witj just one-time purchase. I really liked this program.

Fantastic tutorial, mate. This was my first tutorial on Affinity’s photo app and I learned a lot not just about hair, but about the app as a whole. Love the app now, and look forward to your other tutorials.

Great tutorials, somethings driving me bonkers though. Once I have done this process as I have how can I get back in to my refine mask settings as I need to edit it for selection of hair with matte setting. Unlike the desktop version there doesn’t seems to be an obvious option to edit mask. I would really appreciate any help? Side gripe: I love the price point for the affinity suite hence I purchased it but as a new users coming from photoshop ( years ago) the iPad version I find pretty slow to work with due to being not very intuitive. Things that I feel should be a one click process to find seem to be ass backwards. Anyway sure I will learn but somethings grrr very slow process

New sub here, thanks for covering AP2 (most stuff I look for is for the other version and things are quite different for me as a new user). I’m baffled of how much the app crashes (iPad Pro 12.9” 2021, latest OS) when using those sliders on the side, specially feather and unsharp mask pixel range. Is there a way to implement a threshold to prevent those sliders to go up (or negative) beyond a reasonable amount?
@CreativeGoodman Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the sub Ahiru! Regarding the app crashing on your iPad Pro 12.9" 2021, I'm on the iPad Pro 12.9" 2020 with the latest OS too and its only crushed once for me when saving. Sorry to hear that you're experiencing that issue, honestly not sure why that would be. Maybe possible that the app is struggling to handle the large number of pixels when you adjust the feather or unsharp mask pixel range sliders? As for your question if you tap the % value at the top of any slider, you will be able to change the value much, much easier :)

Hi sir I really like your tutorial video. I’m interested in getting Affinity 2 for my iPad Pro. I’ve doing real estate photography quite awhile and I have really hard time on my workflow due to the tool that limited compare to desk version. I can not raw photo from Lightroom to photoshop, can’t select multiple photos edit in photoshop as layers , No alignment, No polygonal. Therefore I want to which my workflow. Do you think that possible?

Sorry Sotthea, only just saw this comment now... I think all this is more than doable in AP2 iPad, I only found out about AP as PS on the iPad wasn't too good. LMK if I can help :)

Hi, Andrew. Love your work. Could you show how to enlarge a whole eye at some point in the future. I used to use liquify in photoshop many years ago. Can’t figure it out in Affinity on the iPad. Keep up the good work. I love all your vids, mate. Cheers.

Hi Andrew I’m bit confused if I should buy v2 or stick with the older version for some time . One thing that can convince me to upgrade if we can change the colour of the object in the HSL to a specific colour by putting its hex value .Can you please check if they have added this feature in V2 . You also made a video on it the changing colour of the car but you changed the colour with the wheel. Can you please check if they have add hex code insertion tab there .Perhaps you can make a very helpful video on it like you always do 👍
@CreativeGoodman2 жыл бұрын
Firstly, thanks so much for your kind words :) Secondly, buying V2 or sticking with V1 really comes down to personal choice & needs Tejas. It depends on what you use it for and how often you use it. If you only use AP the odd time, I'd stick with V1 or if money is an issue I'd also stick with V1. From what I understand you will be able to keep using V1 for a good while, the issue will come when maybe Apple update the iPadOS and V1 will not work as Affinity has said they will not update it. As for your question, I've had a look and from what I can see 'HSL to a specific colour by putting its hex value' is still not possible. They've updated it a bit but not in regards to adding a hex value. Hope this helps and if not lmk :)

@@CreativeGoodman hi thank you so much for the confirmation . I don't have any reason to upgrade to V2 than . Btw planning for 2023 MacBook pro . And it will be better if I buy the all platform bundle later next year maybe . Btw great content please keep on putting tutorials it really helps 👍👍👍

This works so much better in affinity photo 1. 2 is just too sloppy. Everything is just better in one. I see now. I was on a new layer. Don’t know if it worked like that. But when I went on a duplicate layer it worked fine. Still not better than 1 😊
