I wonder why they didn't do it like they did in Indesign: when you delete a color in Indesign, it asks 'What color would you like to replace with the deleted color'. Done! All fill and stroke colors are changed in an instant.

What can you do if you have a bunch of groups and you want to change the color of a shape in the groups without ungrouping everything?

Try using your open arrow to select just one shape out of the group, then use the select same color command

You can use the “select similar” command in PS. It will select similar colored pixels. Adjust the tolerance levels for more or less precision.
