I bought a 1056 hydraulic pump from Northern Tool for a log splitter, and the single page that came with the pump recommends "a good automatic transmission oil" is this a typo? Why ATF?

Hai Tony, this is Vijay from safe cars India. I want to rebuild my cars front shock absorbers , I recently saw that AW 32 could be mixed with AW 46, however most shock absorbers have AW 32 only and my shock requires a change in gate valve ( base valve) for 46 oil to flow but that defeats the purpose of using Aw 46 instead of AW 32. I made some research by breaking my head can I use 1 part of AW 46 and 4 parts of AW 32 with out changing the base valve of my shock absorber.

Help! The service manual for my 2023 Takeuchi Compact Track Loader calls for 10w30 diesel oil with CD,CE, or CF stampings as my hydraulic oil. Yes, it says 'diesel engine oil' for 'hydraulic' service. I cant find it anywhere! I snow plow in the winter and work w dirt in the summer. It does get to 95⁰F OAT in the summer. What hydraulic fluid do you recommend to fit within the 10w30 CD,CE,CF requirements? Thank you!

I have a Mahindra 3016 the manual recommends Delvac THF, Exxon Torque Fluid 56, Shell-Donax TD, Chevron 1000 THF……. I couldn’t find any in stock…..I did find Traveller premium THF ISO 46 from Tractor Supply….. will this work

My Husqvarna MZ 61 manual says use a 20w50 motor oil for the hydraulic fluid I didn't know you could use motor oil for hydraulic fluid in some system

Hello I have a hydraulic steering system on my 7 tons wood boat,the piston which connected to the oil pump via 2 hoses resembling the right and lift turns ,the piston always leaked oil .I rebuilt the piston and still leaked oil ,I used cheap power oil and never thought t h e oil would matter ,I need to know the oil type grade and properties I should use please,also if I use Mobile ATF oil would that be ok

I have a case 40+4 trencher. The manual calls for type f transmission fluid. I want to use regular hydraulic tractor fluid since it holds 16 gallons . With a complete change what fluid would you recommend.

Type F ATF is provides better gear wear protection. Better than any hydraulic oil.

No questions have been answered here by the Brendan Frasier-looking guy in the video...but I'll still try. My 25 ton log splitter says to use AW32 Hydraulic Fluid. I can find fluids that state something to the extent of "AW....ISO 32" Now, would that fall into the parameters of "AW32"? Or does the "ISO" change the game of the fluid not making it suitable for my log splitter?

AW means Anti-Wear. ISO is the viscosity grade. AW 32 = ISO 32, ISO 32 is not necessarily AW 32, AW - ISO 32 is the same as AW 32

Where can I use SH 68 hydraulic fluid? How does it work in cold conditions like -20 degrees celcius? And can it be mixed whit for example SHS 32 fluid?

ISO 68 is for hot climates only; ie. the desert. Never use ISO 68 below 0˚C. Never mix hydraulic fluids.
