You should add the info about dosing cal/alk based solely on Alk consumption. I watched quite a few videos and a year later I finally found this. I'd given up on 2 part for a long time because I kept adjusting my cal dosage based off my cal test kit. At one point I was over 650 cal. Heck, you should put it on the calculator so that info is more readily available.

They did say to base calcium solely on alk. That scares me because I dont see how that can always work out Are you using kalkwasser now? I was thinking of switching; later until I just watched a video on how bad it is on pumps ect and seem it will cost a lot more if I have to keep replacing pumps ect plus I am scared of overdosing. I dont have a lot of fancy gear and the one they say has never failed is the tunze and thats and extra 200 bucks to I think! I just top off by hand since it only takes less than 10 seconds! I do need the xtra ph raising benefit for sure!

Finally going to do this today! lol I just dont get changing from dividing by 2 to possibly 5. Would 5 be a way smaller dose? I dont understand the difference between bicarb and carbonate. i bought both because I thought one was to up dosage and the other was for daily. Also what about magnesium? you didint cover this but I remember you saying after you finished both to add mag, but what if its depleted some now? Kind of scarry because my alk usage is so random!

Hi. I have a 8 months old reef tank, I’m started getting Corals around 3 months ago and I got a bunch in last 2 weeks. I’ve had tested for the last 3 days to see if I have to start dosing since my Kh is always been low but my Ca is alway stable at 480 ppm. My Kh started at 7.8 and after 3 days it’s at 7.4. My Ca still the same. Can only dose Fusion 2? Or I’ll have to dose the same amount of Fusion 1 even tho my Ca is ok?

Do I have to wait a bit before dosing alk after dosing cal? Or just dose them at the same time

You'll want to dose at different times. If you dose them together, you'll have precipitation issues. If you dose into a high flow area, give it 5 minutes or so between calcium and alkalinity doses and you should be golden 🙂
