Thank you for a great tutorial. As a sidenote: when setting up your document in photoshop, don't forget to choose pixels/inch instead of cm like you mistakenly did if you want 600 dpi. It otherwise will be extremely heavy.

Hi Emma, fellow UK based illustrator and KZbinr here. That was brilliant, I've been thinking of getting one of my books on Amazon but wasn't sure how the uploading process plus ISBNs and barcodes etc would all work. I would love to see a seal one day. There are 3 different ones in dummy stage or early development - one is called “How Maud met Anne” on how Lucy Maud Montgomery got her book Anne of Green Gables published, the other one is called “Bim and the Brass Band on Silent Island” about the power of music and overcoming old conventions, and then one more about a little mouse that has wings but cannot fly due to all the things he cannot let go of called “Archimedes learns to fly” :)

Helpful video, thanks for the tips in set-ups. From my understanding you don’t need to buy a barcode, though, you can generate a barcode through any number of free generators. It’s just about making the series of numbers machine-readable.

Thank you for your kind comment 😊When you're scanning your artwork change the resolution to at least 300 dpi (I scan at 600dpi) DPI stands for dots per inch, so the higher the number the better the resolution.
