Natural hair: I like to knot and tangle up at the slightest provocation. HOWEVER, if you actually want me to loc, I'll make sure to detangle myself🙃

This is so accurate. It’s a perfect example of how hair loves to do its own thing.

One retie tip if you don’t have enough space to end going down, you can make the last rotation at a diagonal going down.

I love how spirally your locs look. Even with doing a 4pt rotation they still look like coils. So pretty! 😍

I just did my first self retightening last weekend and I completed it with a yarn needle. The yarn needle is the best (cheapest) thing on the market and I love it! Great job with your retightening! It's a long process but worth it! #newsubbie

I love your hair Josette! Question: Does it matter if you re-tie clockwise vs. counter clockwise? What is the difference in the long run?
@bambam1000able4 жыл бұрын
It really depends on how you want your hair to lay.
@bambam1000able4 жыл бұрын
The way you end your last rotation make me the difference.
@afrikurl4 жыл бұрын
Whichever one you choose, try to be consistent at each retie.
@JOSETTEBIANCA4 жыл бұрын
It’s just a preference of mine. I just picked a rotation direction and stuck to it. One isn’t better than the other. It’s just so that I can remember my rotation when I’m retightening.

👋🏼hello...quick question...you said to never Retie on dirty hair but after this video you said you washed your hair🤔 so, I'm confused now🤣😅😂 Did you retie on dirty hair or just felt like washing it post retie🤷🏽♀️ pls advise...I'm gonna start my locs soon...just curious, thx
@JOSETTEBIANCA3 жыл бұрын
Heyy, yeah I started my reti on freshly washed hair but it took me a week to complete this reti. So by the time I got to the front, I was due for another wash. BUT, I definitely recommend always doing your reti on freshly washed hair. In a perfect world, I’d finish my reti in 2-3 days and I would still have about 5 days before washing my hair again, but that’s not always the case - hope that makes sense. 😊
