Good review, however after around the 3rd episode it becomes apparent that Moritz' motivation becomes much more than just to impress Lisa, that's what kept me interested; I personally wouldn't call it a romcom. It is pretty funny at points though. Also season 2 is much more crazy, it came out about 2 weeks ago. And judging by things that happen in literally the last 2 minutes of the season... it's gonna get much crazier is S3. also the dub was super good you *almost* forget that the show was originally in german. you probably shouldn't switch to it if you've already been watching sub though since you're already used to the german dialogue. the VAs also mumble a good number of times as well to be fair

I would more say its a German Version of lost with time travel. A few Kids running in the forest at night just in one scene dosnt turn it into german stranger Things. The Show has so much hidden secrets under the Hood. Like a escape room. But for hyperactive Kids it will be to boring because its hard to understand. ;-)

They will direct a new big international casted series called 1899 for Netflix. About european settlers that want to reach the new world but something strange will happen on their Trip over the Atlantic. Also what Most people dont know the original Mr. Robot is also from them. They Made a movie called "who am i" about a German Hacker. IT came Out a year before Mr. Robot and its basicly the First season of Mr. Robot as a movie. ;-) then some guys took the story and made the series Mr. Robot out of it. With a few changes here and there. But its very similar.

Great Series, watched it yesterday! Loved it... however what it didn't explore is that he really does this because he enjoys it and gets a thrill, the excitement and danger... rather than doing it to impress the girl... if he was really going to do it for her ... he could have told her but, NO he kept it away ... until the Finale when she found out. I liked this series can't wait for the next season!

One thing bothers me real bad about this show. I'm only 4 episodes in and I am watching original German version since I speak German but the voices especially of Moritz are so weird. It's like they forgot to record sound during filming then went back to the studio and recorded dialogue then. It's like dubbed version in original language which is very fucking weird.

Like it's one of hacker movies where they portray hacking as like some minigame. It's that level of oversimplifying things. That being said, it's not the worst show ever.
