@@shannonjay7366 it's just like a Yard Sale but instead of a yard, you set up in front of a Business, Laundromat, 711, Busy Corner, I'm in California so this is something we do here, like street vending, it's so many people doing it everywhere to make money, it's a big thing here in California. Also, look into swapmeets, and community farmers market, set up at a church parking lot on a sunday, find a community park, where families gather, I can go on and on you just need to find a hot spot in your city where there is a lot of foot traffic and busy. I hope this helps, some business owners will let you set up if you just ask, tell them what you are doing, offer them a bundle to use their space, it works give it a try. You won't believe how many people will support you once you get it going.

@@shannonjay7366 this was also something else, I took a photo of my stockpile and made a flyer, my sister posted the flyer 2 days before the pop up shop, she lives in a large complex so this will keep the tenants informed about the pop up, and you can place them in your neighborhood, send the flyer to all your friends and inform them before you set up, plenty support once they see your stockpile flyer, THE FLYER WAS REALLY what got them interested.

Great advice, thank you!!! I take 25% off laundry because that's still good, and the rest varies on what I bought it for and if I've had it for a while. If something isn't moving, I'll knock a dollar off. I used to buy anything cheap but now I have a rule that I don't buy anything that my household won't use - just in case I'm stuck with it. I'll be hitting the flea market on Saturday and I hope to sell out!!!

Thanks. I started reselling to support my hobby. 🤭 I have sold nearly $1,500 since September. It has been very dry the last 6-8 weeks since Xmas. Guess everyone is broke. 😞 Tax seasons feels like a good time for sprucing up my listings. I have been dabbling a la carte but I don’t think it is going as well as bundles of all 1 thing. I have both listed. Trying to up my stockpile to be more flexible in my offerings.

Is your garage insulated? If not, do you have issues with your laundry or personal items during the summer?

Before I started reselling, I would have issues with my fabric softener. It would lump (I would just add water) but since I’ve become a full time reseller, I haven’t had issues. Just make sure to rotate your product and use the “first in first out” method

Reselling toothpaste that’s expired is easy. Label it as cleaning purposes only and cut the price. This works well for my garage sales

Do you have to report profit to income tax? If so how much do you have to make before reporting to Irs?

Technically you are supposed to report all income to the IRS. So, even if it is a penny in sales, you are supposed to report it. When selling online on various platforms, they issue a 1099 starting at $500 in sales.
