Thanks, I'll check for these problems. I have a brand new LCT that has a hundred other problems beside this one. Everyone is so hyped about them and I received a piece of shit. This is the first and last LCT I bought. People say LCTs come with perfect shimming, my sector gear was so tight the gears barely spun, and the other two were too loose.

So i bought my airsoft replica like 10 months ago haven't played too much since summer , came back from the vacation and suddenly the gun does this weird thing (M916G UTR556 the replica) i am a complete airsoft noob and i have no idea what's can cause this especially in a almost brand new gun with like 10 games on its head , So it starts with if i put the gun on semi the moment i connect the battery it does nothing the moment i put it on full auto it shots burst (obs cause i programmed it that way on auto ) but when i go back on semi it does the same thing shots in burst , A small remark i did damage abit of the cable when i was trying to change the spring and i applied electrical tape to fix the small wiring damage i caused maybe it the issue , but it was working fine after that so i really don't know, and i have tried to reset the mosfet burst setting and all that still does nothing any help

When I use semi, and fire many rapid shots, every once in awhile after many rapid semi shots, it just clicks when i pull the trigger. I resolve this by switching it to full auto, and firing, and it somehow resets. Would you know off the top of your head what could be happening and what to do to fix this? Personally i think the trigger is just mis engaging.
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
its a little bit of overspin putting the cutoff lever in a weird position that locks up the trigger trolley. I can't really think of a good way to fix this besides AB which I don't recommend. Could try shaving some plastic off the trigger trolley so it stops quicker.
@MarineSharpshooter1310 жыл бұрын
valleyriverarms Could this also be resolve by short stroking? My gun is not running too fast, its a 9.6 volt battery with Deans connectors, Standard 18:1 gears with an ICS turbo 3000 motor. Would taking a tooth off of the sector and piston help?
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
possibly... but I'm not sure by how much. If you don't make full presses to the rear and "short stroke" the trigger it can cause this too.
@MarineSharpshooter1310 жыл бұрын
valleyriverarms That makes sense, I guess when I take many rapid shots, I might not make full trigger presses. I'll experiment some more, I'll take many rapid shots, while making full presses, and see if the problem persists
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
I would try that. You might be able to solve that problem with a higher torque motor in that case. Try to shorten the cycle time.
@greenfrog56473 жыл бұрын
My cyma aks74un will have the seletor on semi, but when i pull the trigger halfway it shoots full auto. When i pull the trigger the full way it does semi. Ive added material to the moving part of the trigger (idk if its called a shuttle or a trolley) so it has material to interact with the cutoff lever
@valleyriverarms Жыл бұрын
I used to have this problem too. Might be worth trying to replace the trigger contacts and the cutoff lever and cutoff spring to be safe too
@OTG_Zulu8 жыл бұрын
I've looked everywhere and i cant find anything on this problem.....my gun will not fire on semi, i mean if i pull the trigger back and find where it would usually "break" (real gun lingo for where it would start the firing process) and move it left and right while still pulling the trigger it MIGHT fire one shot. It never goes into full, it never bursts. Just one shot and thats it, if it does fire. However, in auto it works like a dream, no issues at all. Any ideas on that? Anything input would be helpful. Oh and just to rant a lil more......the gun is basically new, it hasn't even seen 5k rounds through it.....
@ramrcadventures71688 жыл бұрын
Awesome video, in semi i have to pull the trigger all,the way back fot a full semi cycle or it will work like a 3 round burst..or just not shoot full and or semi..thinking something is worn down?

Trying to install my shims and I noticed its incredibly hard shimming on ball bearings...? Anyways... My sector gear keeps hitting against the "pin" that connects the two shell halves together and just stops OR the cut off lever...? Don't know which as it only happens when both halves are on...? Is that the point of the cutoff lever (to completely stop the sector gear from spinning at the same point every time) or do i need to shave the gear or "pin" down any? (The Pin is part of the lower half of the gearbox and makes it so the two halves can't come too close together)...? Thanks!

Sorry, I am very late, but in semi if I slowly pull the trigger back it starts shooting full auto however if i quickly pull the trigger all the way back it shoots 1 bb, like it's supposed to. Do you know what might be causing this? I am new to airsoft so would I be able to fix it myself or would I have to take it to a store to get it fixed?

When I select semi, sometimes it shoots semi, sometimes a burst and sometimes full auto. Is this the same concept? I have a high torque motor and high speed 14:1 gears fitted. I will replace the cut off lever anyway, but if it is overspin, how can I fix it?
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
overspin is either fixed with shortstroking and a higher power spring or active braking on the mosfet.
@ChasWG11 жыл бұрын
Great video and explanation of the cutoff lever and trigger contacts. I've been messing around with my son's AGM M16A3 for a while now. First I had to replace the crappy stock trigger contacts. I got a set of Modify trigger contacts and trolley. But after I put that set into the gearbox I suddenly had issue with it shooting full auto in semi. All the parts look fine, including the cutoff lever, but the plastic wedge that contacts the cutoff lever on the left side of the trolley doesn't appear to be as wide as the on the original trolley. Could that be why the gun shoots full in semi? I have messed around with the spacing of the trigger contacts quite a bit. Nothing seems to help. Any clues? Thanks
@valleyriverarms11 жыл бұрын
Try the stock trolley in the modify contacts and see what happenes. If it works with the stock trolley yeah that's the issue. Although i think it is that.
@ChasWG11 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the idea. I did try it in there, but the stock trolley kept catching and hanging up on the slide part. So I never fully assembled it like that. I Di end up spreading the two contact springs much wider appart and that has seemed to fix things. The trolley now has to fully engage the cutoff lever forcing it into the cam of the sector gear now to actually make the electrical connection and fire on one round.

you're probably experiencing overspin. You need to slow your gun down or put in a stronger spring to induce more of a mechanical drag.

My semi auto works, but when I put it on auto, I get a two or three round burst. I can't find any info on this, and wanted to know if you might have any insight. When a normal sector gear rotates 360 degrees it engages the cut off lever once. In a DSG it engages twice in that 360 degrees. Is it possible to make a DSG build that shoots a 2 round burst (like an AN-94) on semi auto? Possibly ground down one of the points where the gear engages the cut off lever?
@valleyriverarms11 жыл бұрын
Yeah you could grind off one of the cutoff cams and get a two round burst if you wanted to I suppose. I personally wouldn't ruin a set of riots like that but if you needed 2 round burst that's a way to do it.

@iilimato187 жыл бұрын
Nice video, but can you tell how the trigger gets jammed some times when semi auto? I have tried to find reason for that. I understand usually the problem is to fast trigger pull, but what makes the trigger jamm like it is on safe? Is the cutoflever preventing the trolley to push forward, if so should in go away just switching to full auto what lifts the cutoff allthe way upp but it does not i have to shoot burst to make it go away.
@valleyriverarms7 жыл бұрын
yeah it's bad timing with the cutoff lever which is why switching it to full then back sometimes solves the problem.

I have a problem where my aeg fires a double burst sometimes in semi and when I put it in full auto my gearbox seizes with the piston stuck all the way back. Inside the gearbox I found 1 of the trigger housing trolleys has broken. Could this cause the double fires in semi? Also I know the cut off lever moves out of the way to around 45 degrees in full auto but if the trigger trolley broke is it possible for the contact block to bump the cut off lever enough to engage the sector cam and hold up the sector gear and seize the piston in the rear position? I keep putting new trigger trolleys in and they keep wearing down, even lonex triggers are doing it within 100 cycle's. I have had a lot of problems with guns but never this. There's no hair trigger mod its just the basic trigger assembly. But I do have a lot of experience with guns and have built a lot of different hair trigger mods and messed with the trigger before I'm just saying I know what I'm talking about but I cannot figure this out for the life of me. It does have a gate active breaking mosfet and I think that may be the actual problem somehow not too sure.
@valleyriverarms10 жыл бұрын
Try smoothing out the top of the trigger where it connects with the trigger trolley to keep the abrasiveness down. I doubt it has anything to do with your mosfet though.
