Thank you for your excellent instructions. I would suggest commenting about proof of dispatch AND proof of receipt before explaining the proof that Form 3811 will provide, i.e. need for proof of dispatch, receipt, and the importance of obtaining the certified receipt at the counter. In my experience, clients rely on tracking and overlook the distinction between delivery vs. receipt and proof of dispatch without realizing that tracking only verifies delivery. Nonetheless, great, concise presentation!

Stamps makes this easy if you own a printer. You can buy certified envelopes and use their software to print directly onto the envelope with the necessary mailing info.

You don't have to include the 3811 form if you don't want to. That is an extra service and will cost more money. You can mail a Certified Letter with or without that form.

Yes. You will still need to include the recipient's name and address along with the return address on the envelope.
