Great video. Very in-depth. I think people are finally realizing that making music on an iOS devices is legit. iPads are not Toys unless you use it like a toy.

TheAudioDabbler Yeah I agree. I just bought a new 10.5 iPad Pro and a RME Babyface Pro to run a bunch of hardware analog synths (and IOS synths too) I have a big Reaper system on a couple PC's with a ton of VST's .. but working simply with the iPad is a nice change that takes me back to how I worked in the 80's with my Mac SE30 and Opcode Vision.

I don't know, it's in a weird zone.. It's cool that you can now make so much.. but if you're to make so much you might as well use a proper computer and keep the ipad for simple stuff like sketching ideas. And taping a screen will always be slow and inefficient, I've seen no one being able to be good at it.

Year later it’s still a dope view. For most whose been at for a minute but have yet to do anything major with it... we can still find joy when seeing those have working the same processes the same way. I’ve been looking at Cubasis or Auria... I’ve been on BM3 since it was BM1 but starting out in a computer DAW I need closer to that than BM3. It’s like Maschine, I love it but only as a creation tool. Lastly, something old... What you did with Wildest Dreams is still MURDEROUS! Salute

Thank you fam! Yeah Wildest Dreams was a fun record to create! As afar as 2nd DAW’s on iOS I still go back to Cubasis. It has some things I still wish it had (channel grouping) but it’s a solid DAW for sure. Thanks for the support!

I just watched this video and was inspired by what you said at its end. In 2014 I was a inspired producer and I had a few things coming up. I had taught myself Logic and had just got an imac. Then out of nowhere had a sudden stroke. I don’t drink nor smoke and I’m not obese. It was simply genetic. My wife left and I just wanted to die. So I left Florida and came to Texas to do so. I LOVE music production but unfortunately had to give up my equipment to survive. While here, I started to feel better little by little. I’m on dialysis but lately I hear music in my head like I used to. I got a little keyboard and im looking at software and I came across your videos. You really hit a nerve when you said don’t let the music die in you. I can’t tell you how much that spoke to me. May God continue to bless you in all that you do. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart homie I really needed to hear those words.

Henny the cats on the iOS Music Production community appreciate you doing these excellent videos and demonstrating that this format is not a TOY. Before I got my Air 2 in early 2015 I had an older desktop setup with M- Audio Pro Tools and an interface, couple of decent plugs & VST's. My current iOS rig with Auria Pro with Fab Filter plugins, Cubasis 2, tons of soft synths & drum apps, etc. and it's as powerful as the other setup if not more so. Plus I'm having more fun with the touch interface and the immediacy of everything (no breakdowns or driver issues!)... haven't had this much fun since the late '90's on my Tascam 488mkII 8 track machine. Thank you for spreading the word & sharing your techniques...be cool.

Very interesting watching you work in iOS. Your process is one of subtraction which is an interesting way of looking at things. Much like a sculptor who will see the form in a block of stone, then start carving out space to reveal the form. Being a professional drummer I usually don’t think this way, but it has me really rethinking some of the ways I can play with stuff in iOS and live. Love your encouraging words at the end! Hey man! First of all, lemme just say thank you for all the videos you’ve uploaded here. They’re super helpful. My question here for sequencing is how do I record piano songs on Beatmaker3? I recorded some and deleted the bits where I made mistakes, and tried to record from thy point. But somehow the tracks retains the part I played with the mistakes I made. Like it’s layered or something. It’s supposed to be deleted but it’s like overdubbed. If I were to record something like “Greatest Love of All” on piano, without quantizing, would this give me the ability to edit he notes and measures?

Love the video, was NOT what I expected at all. I was expecting to see you working in a Sequencer rather than Cubasis. My workflow very similar when I do things, tho often I’ll do it in Garageband even tho I have Cubasis. I’ve been using a Korg Electribe 2 lately too. Love the chain sequence commands and ability to loop a set number of times before moving to next pattern in the chain. Keep up that fantastic work man! Kwekwe the Mad Mohawk out!

I’m hoping to get a response from the man himself.... I know you’re all in on BM3 but coming from GarageBand, would there be a more familiar feel and shorter learning curve if I upgrade to Cubasis2 or BM3? I’ve heard BM3 is stingy on the native sounds and requires more in app purchases, etc... also, is one or the other better at time stretching and pitch shifting?
@HennyThaBizness6 жыл бұрын
So, as far BM3, it’s really feature packed, but it does require a lot more in app purchases or uses of other AUV3 plugins to take full advantage. It’s a powerful app and once you get the hang of it, you’ll see you won’t need many other DAW’s 👌🏼
@CRASS20476 жыл бұрын
