My salvia elegans and I live in zone 6. We’re both inside for the winter with a bit of afternoon light, barely enough probably to keep it alive till spring. Would you prune one in a pot any differently?

I would try and keep it 12 inches or under tall, just enough foliage to keep it alive. Run on the dry side as well. Basically trying to simulate near-dormancy.

This dose not like too rich of soil. It will stretch on you. It likes well drain soil.
