Thx for the nice video! Please make more from the TT mk1 😍 There is a nice trick I've learned from a friend: put the oil tube in the freeze for 24h before pressing it into the Haldex. It will reduce a little bit the mess when putting back the screw on. 🤟

You can freeze the new oil to make it thicker ,PS also a decent drive before hand is good to warm up the old oil for draining

Appreciate the demo on fishing the filter out of that tight spot, made it easy for me this time around, getting the filter back in just as easy.

Doing this on axle stands isnt much fun. A car hoist makes things so much easier! Beware also that when you remove the nozzle to place the 5mm screw back in, if you don't get it in square and start threading it quickly, all the new oil will leak out very quickly...... ask me how I know 🤨

Can’t find any front differential tutorials or info for a 5 speed manual tt and idk if any of y’all have maybe or know where the filter is/if there’s a filter I saw one video where they said there was one but I did not have one in that location, I’m confident in the Haldex service just not sure about front half

I'm about to pull my MK1 haldex out to rebuild it. Any idea on where I can get new clutch packs? Car is just used at the track so an upgraded set would also be cool.

Don't you love when people say (the drivers side or passenger side) like everyone in the World drive on the same side ,it's not so bad in a video because you can work it out but in forums is just the worst

Why wouldn’t they have a separate plug hole to refill the haldex..doesn’t seem very German..where’s the haldex manufactured..?
@captiansparkles81395 жыл бұрын
Haldex is a swedish company

They do, its on the driver side but theres a piece that can get lost inside and would require removal and opening up haldex unit....🤷♂️

You’d probably need some kind of short hose extension because going straight in, you’d have to have the car up,pretty high. Call body shops or garages and ask if you can borrow their lift for 20 minutes.
