You're right about the bear behaviour- biggest factor in bear presence can be human presence. I used to GPS tag bears for research and their most frequented locations in their large territories are where people leave food and they become less averse to conflict. Bears are so habitual that they literally walk in the previous bear footprints as opposed to a new path- I used to fake out bears into stepping into traps by creating a bear-like footprint pattern on the forest floor.

I am23 and ive been looking into hutning for a while now,( I live in canada). I watched about 10 of your videos so far just on random goat topics. You take well care of them and show them love too not just haul them around:) I will use pack goats but mostly just for pets because i am a animal lover but now i know what i can do with them, awesome. You are teaching me a lot, TY.

One thing I've learned from Red Cross training as a kid is that veterinary first aid kits are almost the same as human first aid. Might as well pack yourself a nice one.

This Dude is brilliant, hunting guides get paid good money. Something I would do that is more efficient is pack in freeze dried food. Make it alot lighter.
@PackGoatscom4 жыл бұрын
Brian you are right. A major portion of what we haul in is food. And we like real food. When I go light and fast and sleep on bulls then it’s less comfort, more freeze dried food and get in and out

@PackGoatscom3 жыл бұрын
I think we had seven Packers on the trip if I remember right. We taken a pretty heavy camp we were facilitating a cameraman a camp helper and three hunters for a week in the woods eating real deal food. Plus this camp. I would guess we were around 300 pounds that we packed in. Almost 200 was food. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWbMlotvrqmSpbM
