I am taking this info with me in two weeks to Paragon D&E up in Michigan. I have to validate a new tool before they coat it. This is a first for me and it has given me a little anxiety, due to the scale of the project and all the corporate eyes on. This mold is $1.2M....hope I don't mess it up :) Side note....I was fortunate to go through iMFLUX advanced processing training. Check out what the iMFLUX controller is capable of. Plenty of videos here on youtube. As always, thanks for taking the time to put this info out. It would be cool to have a closed fbook group to converse with others on IMM's.

Good stuff, David. I was fortunate to learn this process of starting from scratch through the legendary Tom Nash and his training course. Keep up the awesome videos!

Thank you so much. I asked on your last video if you had anything on injection pressure, and sure enough, you made the video! I really appreciate the time and effort you put into making these for us. You are awesome.

Sounds like they may need help on troubleshooting something like flash. How do you determine if it's the process or the tool? What steps to check in the process before determining a tool failure?

How would I work out how much holding v-p to use on my pack and hold. Is it just 2/3s of the 1st and second stage v-p plz Thanks for the videos.
@injectionmoldingskillsmore10642 жыл бұрын
You can start with 1/2 or less than the injection pressure is.

Thanks for the videos. Really informative. I was wondering, could you make a video of how you would start a process with a new mould. Like all these things combined what you have shown us this far, but while doing it yourself while on the injection press. Like calculating shot size, finding injection pressure, hold pressure, clamp force, cooling time etc! Thanks! 🙂

@@injectionmoldingskillsmore1064 brilliant. Also crossed my mind about this video, when you first set the injection pressure while injection speed is set really low, doesnt pressure rise dramatically when you start increasing injection speed?
@injectionmoldingskillsmore10642 жыл бұрын
@@miksau11 Yes sometimes they go up it depends on the nozzle size as well.

@@injectionmoldingskillsmore1064 should i then check the keep checking the product with different injection speeds and find a pressure where my product is perfect and set the max pressure again
@injectionmoldingskillsmore10642 жыл бұрын
@@miksau11 No The idea is to have the speeds as low as you can to fill out the part to 95% to 98% full. Then you let run for about 10 shots to make sure you have the same short shots. Then you had the hold pressure 1/2 of the injection pressure. If done right you should be able to walk up to the press on any day & shut the hold off & make a part 95% to 98% full. This is the key to not over packing a tool out !!! I hope this helps you out. Thanks for the support to the channel.

hello Mr David i learned a lot about using a simulation software to simulate injection molding process, but i found out that many injection molding factories don't use any simulation software. so i thought that you can talk to us about the difference between using simulation vs using iterations on the floor thanks a lot
