Our small business leases dehys, refrig plants, amine plants and other processing-related equipment....I used to work as an engineer in the corporate world...I’ve seen more lectures on process material than I care to admit....this is top notch delivery with respect to being concise while remaining technical...great job and thank you...this is how information should be presented....the division between engineering and operations would be less if all engineers could deliver in this manner

during restart of the upstream amine treatment unit after a trip, there is hydrocarbon entrainment which is causing the incinerator trip in SRU at high temperature due to hydrocarbons from the acid gas enrichment absorber

Is there any industry changes in the past 1.5yr that would contribute to higher than normal amine concentration in high purity non odorized isobutane/n-butane? We use alot of non odorized instrument grade butanes and seem to be having process contamination with some sort of amine. Of course the gas distributor doesn't test for such so we are left to figure it out on our own

I got two questions for you, what should be the differential of temp between lean amine and ngl in an amine liquid to liquid contactor and which should be warmer?
@benspooner86902 жыл бұрын
Hi Luis, in a liquid-liquid absorber there's no need for a temperature differential, as there is no concern with either phase condensing. In fact, if the amine is too warm you can vapourize the hydrocarbon to gas and cause real problems! We like to run the amine and NGL at about the same temperature if possible. Sometimes the amine winds up being a bit warmer due to limitations in the lean amine cooler.

How I can calculate how much lean amine required for absorber?
