I just bought this lovely watch… should be here tomorrow. I already have the ae1200 but I like this one because it has better time-date visibility. And I really like the 80’s look of it. This is the watch Bond should use if he were real, instead of those crazy expensive and delicate mechanical watches we see him sporting in the movies.

Was going to go with using my AE-1200 module for the whole SKX Mod until I saw this model with the Orange lettering. Something about it reminds me of the Star Trek Film/Battlestar Galactica aesthetic from my childhood. Plus this one doesn't switch timezones whenever I accidentally hit a button like the 1200 did.

Good explanation. I just got one today. The day and date are easier to read than on the AE-1200. I was disappointed that the WS-1600 doesn't have UTC as an option, but it does have London, which is the same time zone. And since you can set DST on or off separately for your home city and the alternate, I can just leave DST off for London and it acts like UTC.

I won't be changing straps, but if I really wanted the black strap I could get a used Casio AE1200 and use the black strap from that on the WS1600H. I believe both use the same strap size.

Everyone says the timer mode on this watch is confusing, for my brain it's perfect, it made sense the moment i saw it, it's perfect. hahahahahah

Hey i saw the video and thats how i figure out mine but i have a question Why is the day not automatically changing? I set it up on thursday and today it is still on the same day havent change... Any idea thanks

If you are using 12-hour time, check to make sure you have the correct hour set. If set to AM when it should be PM, the date will not change at midnight.

Wow, the timer & stopwatch are a s#!tshow but, the rest of it is cool. I'm thinking of getting the gray bezel one with the orange highlights. How long before Casio gets the feedback about the timer/stopwatch and decides to release a variant with the pre-existing ones😉👌 Maybe I should wait😂
