I hate that you mentioned that black bit in the top left because from there on I could not unsee it lol Looks like another banger from Casio but as great as it is I still think I prefer my Royale. Top review as always mate.

Never noticed it too until it was mentioned in the video, but I think it's more subtle in the greenish one that I have, somehow, prolly due to less contrast :) In any case (no pun intended), I'm not bothered by it 😁

I bought one after considering the Royale, but the display of time and date is actually noticeably bigger on the 1600 which for me is why i decided to buy it. Purchased the SKX case mod and am going to hydro mod and green screen it.

Nice looking watch. Love the large time font making it easy to read (getting old) LOL. You should look up Kraino design for a mod case. (I think that's his name) He started doing metal cases before SKXMod did. He also makes bronze, titanium, etc and custom plates that go inside the watch that divide up the dial, as well as sapphire crystals for them. He makes them for the AE1200/1300 so if this is the same case you should reach out. Support a small private maker. Maybe a comparison video between SKXMod and him?

I'll definitely look him up. I've seen a few videos on the SKXMod cases but I'm open to trying from somewhere else too. Thanks for the suggestion.

I recently purchased the green model and my only gripe is the numbers seem to fade when off angle. Is that a trait with the WS1600 model?. My AE1200 doesnt suffer that problem.

Just looking at it now and it does seem to fade like that more than some of my other Casio's.

@@otrot1601if you just want a plain stop watch with split seconds then the 1600 doesn’t do it well. The appeal of the 1600 is the interval timer and the target alarm for the timer. I’ve had both and I like the 1600 over the 1200. I like the interval over split seconds on the stopwatch.

I think I've owned the Royale 3 times but they're on the wrists of 2 of my nephews and a friend now. I'll eventually get one again though. One of my favorites from Casio.
