How to set the combination on your Travel Sentry TSA LOCK Padlock ?

Watch this video to learn how to set a new combination of your Travel Sentry TSA LOCK luggage padlock in a few easy steps.
How to set the combination on most Travel Sentry Approved padlocks
Choose a memorable combination and write it down in a safe place like your phone.
1. Turn the dials to 0-0-0 (original combination).
2. Pull the shackle up from the lock.
3. Turn the shackle 90 degrees clockwise.
4. Press the shackle down And turn it further 90 degrees.
5. You can now set your combination.
6. Rotate the shackle back.
Your combination is now set.
How to set the combination on Travel Sentry Approved CABLE PADLOCKS
Choose a memorable combination and write it down in a safe place like your phone.
1. Turn the dials to 0-0-0 (original combination).
2. Pull the cable up from the lock.
3. Press the reset button with a tool Such as a ballpoint pen and hold it.
While pressing the button, set your combination.
4. Release the reset button - you have set your combination.

Thanks for video but I haven't a clue how on earth to TURN THE SHACKLE! I may be stupid but turn the shackle (and with what!) is anything but clear! I have the "supple" shackle and I don't know how to turn it! Or maybe it's called wire lock

As usual none of their "Travel Sentry" videos show the type of lock that came with my JY-A954 luggage. The luggage arrived with a tiny paper that showed me how to setup the top lock okay. I had no problems there. But there were zero instructions on how to setup or reset the side locks. Not one of their videos addressed this.

I just bought this lock and tried to set it, I failed, it twisted in my hand and the pen broke. Lucky me. Now it is permanently locked. I couldn't hold the knob in with my finger and it was very tricky. I will never buy a master lock again!

Sorry to hear that. Some designs are more ergonomic than others. We think it is possible that by trying all combination (should take less than 30min) it could solve the probleme. Alternatively please contact the customer service of Master Lock.

HI, sorry to hear this. The most usual explanation is that on step 3 you didn't press the shackle down with enough pressure. It doesnt always click but you should feel you have reached the furthest down before turning another further 90 degrees in step 4. Hope this helps. Followed the video but the case got locked with a combination I didn't deliberately set. Now I have a locked empty suitcase. Looks like I am just going to have to break the damn thing and use zip ties. Doesn't seem to be a reset button anywhere. That would make it less secure of course. Got a useless lock on a £120 suitcase. I guess I have learned a lesson. Just leave it open!
