Those chain tensioners will take all the slack out after the engine has started, they operate with oil pressure.

hello guys !....i have a 2017 subaru wrx fa20 and my car was hit in right side lower by the exhaust oil control selenoide and what happen is selenoide is completly damage too and im already bought it but plug was damage too ....so.....my question is if you can showing me please whats the right order and what (the order) colors goes in the selenoide plastic plug ? .......any picture or a video recommendation or website you can providing me please ? ...thank you ill appreciate ....

How did you mark the crank? The sharpie mark, how and ware does it come from?

Tim Sakharchuk the harmonic balancer only goes one way. The harmonic balancer has a small key that lines up with the crank and that is the marking we put because once you put the harmonic balancer on the crank you can't see the cut on the crank

Isn’t it enough to put the arrows facing each other’s ? I mean the blue mark Should be lined up too ? Can a wrong timing belt setup work well but creates knocking problems on cylinder 1 after warmup ?

I’m late asf , but those confused about that line, just know there’s a machined indent in the near itself, The key stone it’s self is centered between 2 teeth and it’s the one one the lift that has a marking

When you turned the engine manually and it jumped a quarter turn. Is that normal? Cause mine does the same and I aligned everything and it does that jump when I first started the engine with it in. Please reply about your start up. Thanks fellas. I don't wanna take it out again :(
