Thanks Dave a very thorough video hard to imagine a more detailed description. I have a small sewing needle which I use to re use the stop beads although most of my stops are sliding knots. Great video, I picked up a lot of info!

Another great video and now need to add three more items to my tackle box. Sat at a windy lake today and being new to fishing was using a loaded waggler and as you would know never got a bite. Still enjoyed it though, Blimey this is proving to be a steep learning curve.

Looks like Old Bury Hill main lake office/cafe/shop. Ah, he just said it t the end. Lovely set of lakes and a regular haunt of mine before moving away from the area. Actually saw a pike swimming in the main lake with it's head out of the water, allegedly quiet rare.

Perfect I went to the fishing shop and they gave me the weights balls and had no idea what they were for I attached just the float and hook and didn’t catch anything and a fellow fisherman came past and asked him he sorted my rod out and straight away caught 2 fish 😀

Good Video, very good explanation of floats & setups. One thing I don’t understand is the rubber stops? Years ago we use “peg legs”. Did the same job & you can ruse them. Can you reuse the rubber stops without massive effort?

You could use tiny bits of clay or plasticine as float stoppers incase u don’t have the ones as seen in this video ✌🏼

If you use a non loaded float with a quick change float grip and float stoppers do you still put shot next to the float stoppers? Or can you only use loaded floats with float stoppers?

If its a loaded float you don't have to put any adjusting shot near the float,you might want it about 6 inches from the hook, but if you put too much shot down near the hook the resultant cast can tangle as it has a helicopter effect. I only use small shot towards the hook. I hate shotting floats it eats up fishing time so often a loaded float is the way to go,especially for newcomers.

How do you know what total weight to put on the float?

Most floats will have the shotting requirements on them.Personally I hate shotting floats ,not my favourite pastime trying to get it just right. Especially when small shot are concerned.
