HI! I did exactly what it shows on Google, and apparently it's still showing Poor as my Ad strength. Will this affect my performance? Or not? The keywords I've added are not much, and the suggestions I am getting to improve, most of it is irrelevant to my keywords. What should i do?

Hello, the poor ad strength could be due to: > no or not enough keyword targeting in your ad copy or landing page > not enough unique headlines. I like to focus some on keyword focus, authority markers, and then call to actions or sales For the keyword suggestions I would not worry about that at that stage as Google always recommends you add extra keywords (so you spend more money) Just review the account after the first 5-7 days to make sure you are getting some traffic volume

Hey Aaron! Really enjoy your videos. Fairly new to Google ads and wanted to get your opinion on Single Keyword Ad Group Campaign setup. Does it still work, do you suggest it, and would it work setting up each keyword ad group with 2-3 responsive ads to split test (like your split test video) - this is for search campaigns by the ways

Hey Heinrich thanks & welcome 👍 Not only does it work I only recommend that you only use Single Keyword theme Ad Groups (1 x keyword theme method). So you may have some different variations but just make sure they are the same theme. And then yes I would split test 2 different responsive search ads per ad group. Hello Etienne, since Google has changed how [exact] & “phrase” match keyword function I now focus more on regular search term audits and adding in extra negative KWs. I still definitely use both exact & phrase match keywords but I just be aware they function closer to broad match now anyway

With the new changes, I am now using broad match more & more BUT I complete search term audits every 3 days to add extra negative KWs and some of my ad groups have negative KWs of up to and over 1000. Ultimately, I still look to move keywords to phrase and exact match - BUT you have to understand that Exact match keywords don't function like they used too and I have seen Exact match keywords generate search terms such as: baby ear plugs for the exact match keyword of [baby headphones]

Hey Aaron - Stumbled on your channel and love it. I'm plowing through all your videos one by one. I've been doing Google Ads now as a service for my Web Agency for about 1.5 years. Quick question on choosing campaign objective - Does that have a real impact on the performance of the campaign? I always go with "without a goal guidance" when I create campaigns. Also lastly - the new responsive search ads and it's invention "ad strength". Is that just a way for Google to encourrage you to add a lot of headlines and descriptions or does it really have an impact on your quality score and ad rank? I've researched this a little and many sources claim there's no correlation between ad rank, quality score and the ad strength. Cheers from Sweden

Hello & welcome 😄 In regards to campaign objectives: yes it does make a difference as when you select either "sales" or "leads" Google does take the users search history, online behaviour etc into account. So I will also use one of those 2 options. (Check out my "Google Ads Bidding Strategies Explained" video for more information: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fXOlZ2uercSql7c) For the responsive search ads "ad strength" metric: there is a correlation between which ad Google will show - BUT NO correlation to important metrics such as CTR and Conversion rates. The issue is though that Google will continue to show a RSA with a higher "ad strength" even if you have another ad that has better CTR, Conv % & Cost/Conv. So this is why I will also run at least 2 RSA ads (1 with pinned headlines & descriptions) and then review the results and pause the lower performing ad. (then do another round of split testing) Hope that helps

Hello Klajdi, Google is current testing some different dashboard set ups so that is why you may see something different to my screen. But yes if you don’t see it on set up you can change the bidding in settings

Hello Anthony, you can select extra columns (when you are in a search campaign) that give you extra metrics on: - estimated top position bid (#1 - #4) - estimated absolute top position bid (#1) To see these options select “columns” which is on the top right corner of the search campaign results table

Switch to expert mode is not available on my screen. I called and ask where is expert mode and was told to sign up for smart mode then it will be available to me; just looked and its not there again. Representative told me to agree to let them to do all the google ad work for me. Told me $34 a day would get me 24 leads every 3 mo.. $1020 for 8 leads. So now I have to retract my agreement giving them total control.
