I tried to connect my macbook with my ubuntu server, it seems that I can't download the config file generated from the ubuntu server.... despite using the public IPv4 address printed out when I was going through the automatic config , I keep on getting the error tht the rout doesn't exist, and it's not the same ip address I tried to connect to... I can use ssh to connect to the server using publuc ipv6 address through vscode so I manually downloaded the file back to local, the conif can't establish a correct handshake... what could possibly be wrong?

Hello, can I connect my remote server over WiFi? It only works just over cable eathernet? I mean to connect the server where VPN is hosted, over an WiFi connection, and then to use it ,for example in another city to be able to connect to the VPN itself. (Sorry if the question is not that understandable :) )

One big problem with VPN on Linux is the DNS leaks that happen. I use Mint and VPN does nothing to make browsing more hidden. I even downloaded the Mint Debian edition as I beleived it to be a problem with Ubuntu, and still DNS leak test exposed my data. The fixes that are available do not work for me (and many others that I have read). Is there any version of Lunix which does not leak the DNS when connected to VPN? I'm considering going back to Windows

could you please share the procedure where VPN server is created on the virtual machine ( as guest) and i create the VPN tunnel from the Host machine or other Virtual machine (guest) ..... if you have already shared some view , then please share the link of same

if you use firewalld from the server side (centos), you have to enable openvpn and masquerade, otherwise it won't work

Yes, you can use a Raspberry Pi as a VPN server. There are videos here on KZbin on how to set that up. Search "raspberry pi vpn server openvpn" on KZbin and you will get several good tutorials.

Will all apps required and pi hole run on “”GENTOO LINUX””? They have a good new GENPI64 version (64 bit) that runs very good on RPI4-8GB. I AM TOTALLY NEW to Linux. This is my first Linux computer. I need to learn basics such as seeing disk, memory, files, (basics I know in Microsoft.) I will over clock the PI “”a little”. Hope somebody can help me, I used the script and it worked perfectly fine. When I try to load the .ovpn file on my windows machine, OpenVPN gives out the error "Failed to parse profile: static_key_parse_error" anybody knows how to solve this? Apparently in the .ovpn file there should be something between and but I could not find what it should be Any solution? Thanks in advance

Sorry, I don't use Windows. Can't you add the settings manually? Open the icon file with a text editor and copy-paste all the settings

openVPN is VPN, shadowsocks and v2ray are proxies. VPN protect 100% of traffic from your computer. Proxy masks only specific applications (e.g. Web-browser)

not to upstage the host, but i agree: a vm is the way to go, and you can even use virtual box, which i've done many times, but not lately. i also have had very good experience with crossover. early days weren't so good cuz the core 2 duo era and before just didn't have enough horsepower, but modern hardware really makes that work just fine.
